Journalism students go on field trips

Journalism classes at WCC provide training in news writing that develops skills that are useful in other subject areas. Students go on field trips to KGMB-TV and the Honolulu Advertiser for real-world experience. Former journalism students have found careers at local TV stations and newspapers. The student body grows to 1,540 in fall 1985.
