What services does the Testing Center offer?

The Testing Center offers free proctoring for all University of Hawaii-based courses, including placement tests, make-up tests, retests, and accommodation testing.

Has my professor sent my exam to the Testing Center?

Please call or email the Testing Center to see if the Testing Center has received your exam.  You are responsible for contacting your instructor to have the exam sent to the Testing Center at Windward Community College.

Do I need an appointment?

We recommend that all students schedule their testing appointments at least three days in advance.  An appointment guarantees you will have a seat to take your exam.  Walk-ins are available when space permits.

What do I need to bring?

For all testing, a photo ID is required. A valid photo ID can be one of the following: school ID, driver’s license, state ID, passport, or any other government-issued ID.  Additionally, only equipment/materials specified by your instructor may be used.

Some computer exams may require you to use Multi-Factor Authentication to sign in, so please bring your phone if you need it to sign in to your account.

For Accuplacer placement testing, please bring your UH student identification number and photo ID.

Where is the Testing Center located?

We are located in Ka Piko Student Success Services in Hale La’akea, Room 228. Go left after entering the library’s main doors, and you will see the Testing Center sign near The Hub Coffee Shop.

When is the latest I can come in to start the exam?

All exams must be submitted 5 minutes before the Testing Center closes.  Please give yourself enough time to complete your exam.

When should I arrive for my appointment?

Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your appointment.  If you arrive late, you may have reduced testing time.

What do I do if I have a testing accommodation?

Please make sure you have documented your disability with the WCC Disability Student Services Office (DSSO).  If the DSSO does not have a record of your disability, the Testing Center cannot provide you with accommodations. If the DSSO has approved testing accommodations for you, please contact the Testing Center to set up an appointment and to verify that your accommodations will be met.
