Volunteering is in the Biomedical Garden Complex and will run until the end of this semester with The Botany Club
Garden Chat Series: Garden Chat 2
Speaker and Educators: Lead by Dr Teena Micheals & Assisted by Dr Inge White
Topic: HAP- focused Ethnobotanical Plants (Hawaiian, Asian, Pacific)
Area: Olena, cup panax, kaffir lime, edible hibiscus, grapes, papayas, kinehe and euphorbiaceae.
Nutraceutical Food Tasting: This Week’s Dish – Curry & Brown Rice!
Nutraceutical Harvest: Recipes and verbal instructions will be given on how to prepare
Volunteering / Gardening: Hand Weeding and Mulching after the garden chat.
Attire: Closed Toed Shoes, gloves, hat, long pants
Bring: Plenty of Water and a way to jot down recipes
Volunteers will take home Nutraceutical plants grown in the BMGC and verbal instructions will be given on how to prepare your own Nutraceutical dish at home!
