An Author Talk with Paul F. Nahoa Lucas
Please join us for the inaugural presentation of “Short Reads: The Hawaiian Journal of History Author Series”. Windward Community College Library, in partnership with the Hawaiian Historical Society, is hosting an in-person event series featuring presentations by authors published in the Journal.
In celebration of Mahina ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi, our first presentation is by Paul F. Nahoa Lucas on his 2000 HJH article, “E Ola Mau Kākou i ka ‘Ōlelo Makuahine: Hawaiian Language Policy and the Courts” (volume 34). Paul F. Nahoa Lucas is also the author of the “A Dictionary of Hawaiian Legal Land-Terms” (UH Press, 1996) and is senior counsel for Kamehameha Schools.
