First-Year Learning Communities (“Frosh Cohorts”)

First-year learning communities are designed to bring students together along potential major or career field interests. Students take 6 credits together including a 3-credit freshmen seminar course, Introduction to College (IS 103), with a 3-credit introductory course to the field of students’ interest.

Frosh Cohorts this year include: Education, Psychology, Health Careers, Hawaiian Studies, and Trades Exploration. Each path has a set of recommended courses in required areas of study to complement the cohorted classes.  Students will learn together and build a strong foundation for their continued studies.  Learn more about the cohorts and get help registering for them when you attend New Student Orientation (NSO).
