In the pursuit of aerospace science

The Aerospace Option Program (AOP) certificate emphasizes experiential, hands-on learning by applying traditional STEM coursework to real-world, project-based research and internships.

Students will have the unique opportunity to work alongside NASA engineers while being fully immersed in a diverse group of people who are passionate and academically engaged in STEM- related fields.

The Aerospace Option Program, managed through Windward CC’s Center for Aerospace Education in affiliation with the Hawai‘i Space Grant Consortium, offers an innovative and creative way to grow academically while developing multiple STEM skill sets.

Certificate Requirements

The Aerospace Option Program is a 13-credit certificate comprised of an aerospace-related research project (1 credit) and 12 credits from a select list of elective courses in the areas of astronomy, physics, engineering, information and computer sciences, chemistry, and geoscience.
