Since 1972, Windward Community College has been educating future entrepreneurs, scientists, dreamers, artists, and community builders. The purpose of the Distinguished Alumni Award is to recognize the outstanding contribution and significant life impact made by our alumni, in any of the following three categories:

Humanitarian – life changing in nature, above and beyond the expectations of one’s professional or community commitments, undertaken in an altruistic or philanthropic manner;

Professional Excellence – outstanding achievement within one’s profession that has been recognized by peers within that profession; 

Outstanding Community Service – recognizes outstanding voluntary service in the further development and enrichment of communities either within or external to Windward Community College.
