Are you interested in becoming our next graduation speaker or would you like to share your voice singing for our graduates and guests?

Applications due by Friday, March 27, 2026 at 4pm
Auditions will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026 between 10:00am – 12:00 pm.

To be eligible to be a student speaker or singer, you must all three criteria:

Conferred degree for Summer 2025, Fall 2025, or Spring 2026

Minimum GPA of 2.5

Am I able to effectively represent the class

SPEAKERS:

Speakers must submit a written speech by email to kaahualo@hawaii.edu by the application deadline in addition to submitting the speaker application.

Prepare a 3 minute speech on one of the following topics: 

  • The value of a Liberal Arts education
  • The value of a community college
  • The value of giving back to the community

Speech must be uplifting and inspiring.

Note cards may be used during the audition. (However, avoid reading your speech to the audience.)

Auditions will be rated based on these criteria:

  • Message 
  • Delivery 
  • Style
  • Overall Presentation 

SINGERS:

Interested students will need to prepare to sing either Hawai‘i Aloha or Hawai‘i Ponoī. You may bring and use an instrument or we can provide upon request. For auditions, you may also use a YouTube instrumental to accompany you.
