If you have previously attended or are currently attending another institution follow these easy steps to get started with us:

STEP 1. SUBMIT ONLINE SYSTEM APPLICATION

Complete the Online Application

  • There is a non-refundable $25 application fee for non-Hawaiʻi residents
    • Active military stationed in Hawai‘i, their dependents, or veteran discharged within the past three years and physically in Hawai‘i are exempt from this fee
      • To apply for the Military Non-Resident Exemption submit a copy of your Military Orders

  • Apply on time! See the application deadlines below

STEP 2. RECEIVE YOUR DECISION NOTIFICATION

You will be notified via email of your acceptance into the college along with registration information. Your acceptance notification will be sent to your hawaii.edu account if it is still active.

STEP 3. APPLY FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Apply for Financial Aid through FAFSA at https://fafsa.ed.gov

Windward Community College is a state-approved institution for veteran education benefits. View our VA Educational benefits page for more information on eligibility.

STEP 4. SUBMIT HEALTH CLEARANCE FORMS

Before registering for classes Tuberculosis (TB) and Immunization clearances must be submitted to our Admissions & Records Office in Hale Alaka‘i 112 (808-235-7432). You may be accepted to Windward CC without the required health clearances, but you will not be able to register for classes until the clearances are received.

COVID-19 Update: Health clearances are waived for Summer 2020. For Fall 2020, the deadline to submit health clearances is extended to August 1, 2020.

STEP 5. REQUEST FOR OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS

For Non-UH Transfer Credits

  • If you would like to transfer your credits previously earned, request your college to send an official transcript to be sent directly to the Admissions and Records office at Windward Community College at 45-720 Kea‘ahala Road, Kāne‘ohe, Hawai‘i 96744. Hand carried transcripts (even unopened) cannot be considered official

For UH Transfer Credits

  • If you would like to transfer credits previously earned, complete the Transcript Evaluation Request Form [pdf] and submit to the Admissions & Records Office (Hale Alaka‘i 112) for an official transcript evaluation

Request for copies of course descriptions or course syllabi to be submitted with the official transcripts.

STEP 6. GET A UH USERNAME

Create a UH Username

  • Set up your MyUH account at https://hawaii.edu/username/
    • MyUH Services allows you to register for classes, check your financial aid status, check grades, make online payments, sign-up for payment plans, and much more

Reactivate your MyUH account

  • Reactivate your MyUH account at https://hawaii.edu/username/
    • Click on “Get a UH username” and fill out the Check Status Form
    • MyUH Services allows you to register for classes, check your financial aid status, check grades, make online payments, sign-up for payment plans, and much more

STEP 7. MEET WITH AN ACADEMIC COUNSELOR

An Academic Counselor can assist you by reviewing previous courses taken and determining which courses are needed to complete your program requirements. An Academic Counselor can also advise you on whether or not you’ll need to take a placement exam.

You can provide unofficial transcript(s) to your counselor for completed college courses (e.g. math and/or English) in order to meet WCC course pre-requisite.

STEP 8. REGISTER FOR COURSES

Students can register online for courses by logging on to MyUH Services.

STEP 9. PAY FOR CLASSES BY THE DEADLINE (FAFSA, UH PAYMENT PLAN, ETC.)

After you have registered for classes, tuition/fees can be paid online through MyUH Services using a credit/debit card or in person at the Business Office (Hale Alaka‘i 114) using cash, check or debit card.

  • If you register, you are responsible for all charges

STEP 11. PURCHASE YOUR BOOKS AND SUPPLIES

Take a copy of your class schedule to the Windward Community College Bookstore (located in Hale ‘Ākoakoa 160) to purchase your textbooks. For bookstore hours, call 808-845-9105.

And finally, go to class!!!
