Presented by Tracie DeFreitas, Principal Consultant, Job Accommodation Network (JAN)

A practical, solution-oriented approach to providing Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant job accommodations for workers with disabilities in response to the COVID-19 pandemic can simplify return-to-work efforts. The pandemic has required employers to embrace a new perspective on where, when, and how the work is performed and to adopt flexible policies and practices to meet business objectives. Determining who qualifies for ADA accommodations, defining essential job duties, and deciding whether accommodations are reasonable can be complex. This training will emphasize the benefits of applying ADA 101 tactics while engaging in the interactive accommodation process and will include practical strategies for addressing evolving workforce needs related to returning to work and resuming business operations during the pandemic.

This Webinar is a part of National Disability Employment Awareness Month to educate people about disability employment issues and celebrate the many and varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities.
