TWO World premieres! “J-Pop Demon Killaz” playing with “The Hangry Games”

“J-Pop Demon Killaz,” written by renowned Noalani Helelā, satirizes the popular film K-Pop Demon Hunters. Helelā sets her story on Oahu, and it follows three different local girls trying to save the world from demons, while making it in the music industry, singing and dancing J-Pop ballads.

“The Hangry Games” follows Katlick, forced to hunt and forage for her sister and severely ill mother. Katlick volunteers as tribute in the national Hangry Games, where children of losing states are forced to fight to the death for the benefit of those in power. The Hangry Games is full of combat, fight scenes, and intensely topical political humor.

Due to violence, adult themes, and mature language, this play is recommended for ages 14+
