Participate in a Gifting Economy!
Neighbors with their ‘ohana come to freely give and gift, take and receive, browse, socialize, build community and express gratitude! No buying, selling, trading, or bartering.
Similar to a Trunk-or-Treat, gifters pack their vehicles with items and offer them free from their trunks. Receivers visit the vehicles and take away what they want. You might find clothes, appliances, furniture, toys, books, decor, and craft supplies; the possibilities are endless!
To participate as a gifter you just show up; no need to reserve a spot. Parking is on a first come, first serve basis in the front parking lot by the bus shelter.
- It is advisable to arrive no later than 930am to get a good spot and set up, since the “cheehoo” starts promptly at 10am.
- Most people bring a tarp or tables to put their giveaway things on; just be sure to mark them as not for gifting.
- All adults must sign a WCC consent/waiver form which will be available on site. (Thereʻs a new form each time.)
RECEIVERS:
- Simply show up, sign the waiver, and browse.
- Everyone be courteous and kind.
- No touching or “claiming” before our 10am start time
