Procedures for participation and decision making in the Academic Affairs Advisory Committee

  • Academic Affairs Advisory Committee meeting schedules will be published at the beginning of each academic year.
  • An announcement requesting agenda items will be emailed to Academic Affairs Advisory Committee members a week before each scheduled meeting.
  • Faculty, staff, and students who wish to propose an issue for discussion at Academic Affairs Advisory Committee should contact a Department Chair, Dean, or the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs at least a week before a scheduled Academic Affairs Advisory Committee meeting.
  • Any member of the WCC community may also make suggestions to the Academic Affairs Advisory Committee anonymously through the suggestion box on the Academic Affairs Advisory Committee Home Page
  • Actions of the Academic Affairs Advisory Committee are advisory to the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs.  The Vice Chancellor will seek consensus among the members of the Academic Affairs Advisory Committee on items that have been submitted for VCAC discussion.
  • If, in the judgment of the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, a decision must be made contrary to the Academic Affairs Advisory Committee consensus, the Vice Chancellor will discuss the reasons for said decision in a Academic Affairs Advisory Committee meeting.
