Everyone is invited to enjoy Hawaii's grand finale of the 24-hour worldwide celebration of Scottish dance and culture, called the Commonwealth Ceilidh. Join the RSCDS Hawaii branch for a fun-filled evening of dances that will keep you energized and excited. Both beginners and experienced dancers can quickly learn most of these dances. Come with or without a partner.

A short hula performance during the interval will showcase Hawaii's local dance form. Need directions or have questions? Call 538-7707 or e-mail <> Lillian Cunningham.

The Commonwealth Ceilidh is a worldwide event sponsored by RSCDS and Get Scotland Dancing to celebrate the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in late July/August. Parties will follow the sunset around the world beginning in New Zealand at 7:30 local time on June 21 and followed by events in Australia, Japan, Scotland, and across mainland America. The global circle of the Ceilidh will close with Hawaii's event 24 hours later. Each location will dance from the same program of mostly common Scottish Ceilidh dances.

Worldwide event information can be found at the Get Scotland Dancing website.
