Offering an Online Course

From time to time, the Office of Academic Affairs may offer incentives to instructors to create and offer online courses. Prior approval would be required in all cases.

  • The semester that a credit course is developed into an online course, the instructor designing the online course can request to receive 3 credits of release time, or an appropriate stipend.
  • When a new online course is offered for the first time, with the approval of the Office of Academic Affairs, the maximum enrollment can be set to 25 students. After the online course has been taught for one semester, the maximum enrollment would then increase to whatever the face to face maximum enrollment is for that same course.
