GUIDELINES FOR EXTRA CREDIT

You can earn extra credit in HIST 281 by

First, viewing a recommended play, film or a video or viewing a recommended TV program on PBS/Channel 11 (Channel 10 /Oceanic Cable)

Then, by typing a minimum of 1.5 pages/350-400 words (typed, double-spaced, 12 inch type, regular margins) summary/reaction paper for 4 pts. extra credit, which includes BOTH of the following two parts:
I. A Brief Summary/ Plot Synopsis: (no more than half of paper)
What are the main ideas? How does the video begin and end?  
II. Your Personal Reaction: (at least half of paper)
What connections did you make between this film and what you have learned in Hist 281?
What interested, amused, confused, surprised, shocked, repulsed, etc. you and why?

You can earn a maximum of 8 pts. extra credit for Hist 281. All extra credit papers are due by 12/08/2006
