Upward Bound works with high school students grade 9-12 to build the skills and motivation necessary to finish high school and succeed in college.
During high school students receive free mentorship and guidance with the college search process, SAT Prep workshops, and academic support.
Upward Bound students also participate in a six-week college experience which includes dorming at UH-Manoa, taking classes (both credit and noncredit) at Windward CC, and developing the skills of a successful college student.
The goal of Upward Bound is to increase the college admittance and success rates of its participants and help students make the transition from high school to college.
