Oasis
When it snows in
Arabia
Memories littered
upon the desert
Drift into an eternal
sleep
Under a thick, white
blanket.
When blizzards knock
on Arabia’s door
The few palm trees
bow down their heads
And tiny grains of
snow, swirling
Pound on the leaves
like a leather whip.
But when the Arabian
winter
Slowly drips away,
Snow departs for
another world
And in its place a
single lake
In the lusciousness
of a thousand opulent palms
Carries tears of the
harsh winter
And those few
memories
That survived.
