Holy History: Gods, War, and Peace

Post Card for the Holy History learning community

  • Are you curious about how religion influences political decision making, such as whether or not to go to war?
  • Do you want to understand the historical roots of contemporary events?
  • Are you interested in learning about why people believe the world will end in 2012 and other divinations?

If you answered yes to these questions then register for REL 150 and HIST 151 – the learning community!

Tuesday and Thursday, 9:45am to 12:30pm, with a break from 11:00 to 11:15am
CRNs 62145 & 62015

This learning community uses a thematic, interdisciplinary approach to education.  Students will enjoy getting to know their classmates, going on field trips, listening to guest speakers, and diving deeper into the topics.  Students will earn the same grade for both courses as every assignment integrates both disciplines.  Upon completion of the learning community, students will have achieved all 6 credits of the Global Multicultural Focus requirements for the AA degree.

Taught by Sarah Hadmack and Malia Lau Kong

The Learning Community combines Religion 150 and History 151, and fulfills two Global Multicultural Focus requirements
