Aloha,
We would like to invite you to join us in support of the 9th annual Windward Ho‘olaule‘a, one of the largest events for this part of O‘ahu, set for Saturday, September 26, 2009 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Windward Community College in Kaneohe.
This free festival, which attracts an estimated 15,000 people every year from all parts of the island, is a joint project of the Kaneohe Business Group and Windward CC. It offers a day of top island entertainment, food, crafts, keiki activities as well as a community celebration to showcase Windward O‘ahu businesses, community groups and educational opportunities such as those at Windward CC.
This year our theme is E Pū Like Kākou (Let’s Come Together as One) to reflect our spirit of pulling together as a community, even in tough times. For the first time. we plan to sponsor a job fair as part of the event to connect employers and potential employees. Windward CC is also sponsoring a silent auction to raise funds to benefit students and programs. A portion of the proceeds from the Ho‘olaule‘a will go toward expanded scholarships for needy students offered through KBG. It is intended that the remaining portion will be set aside as “seed money” for the following year’s event.
Community and corporate sponsors are critical to helping us cover the infrastructure and logistical costs needed to put on such a huge event. We are in the process of widening our appeal to businesses and would appreciate any support you could provide. On the enclosed sheet, you can see the various levels of sponsorship available and the related benefits to your company. Your company logo will be placed on our printed material including, but not limited to, our advertisements in the daily newspaper, our posters and the Ho`olaule`a web page, http://windward.hawaii.edu/hoolaulea.
The email address for logo submission is libby@hawaii.edu. The deadline for submission is August 10, 2009. Mahalo nui loa for your kind consideration. Please call Sandy at 265-2016 or Libby at 235-7396 if you have questions or need more information.
