AG 22: Soils Technology (3 credits)

Catalog Description

Identification, preparation and fertilization of soils, amendments and potting media, methods of sterilization, mulching and composting, and soil testing. Lecture/laboratory/field trip course. (2 hrs. lect.; 3 hrs. lab.)

Student Learning Outcomes

• Recommend soil amendment to correct deficiencies for plant growth.
• Interpret the results of a soil analysis.
• Identify plant nutrient deficiencies.
