Aquaponics for Sustainability

Description: Build, operate, and maintain an aquaponics system. Construct and operate NFT, ebb and flow, and deep floating raft grow out systems. Learn basic water quality, measuring water quality parameters, fish husbandry, and plant production. Pratice teambuilding and collaboration skills. Learn how to operate PH, DO, and conductivity meters. Learn to use hand tools. Learn a simple business plan to start your own business. Creatively prepare and enjoy your harvest to culminate your learning experience. Course schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 - 5 pm. Mission
The goal of the Office of Career and Community Education (CCE) is to serve the Windward O‘ahu community:
- as a cultural and meeting center
- as a provider of health and fitness courses
- as a provider of business and computer skills training
- as a coordinator of personal enrichment activities
- as a coordinator of Senior (Seniors 55+) programs
- as a designer and provider of customized training programs
From our location in the Hale Kuhina Building at Windward Community College, CCE also facilitates the production of courses, events, and activities open to the public. The majority of these special events are held at Windward Community College.
This office was formerly called the Office of Continuing and Community Education (OCCE)
