Thurday, April 22nd (or so) - Common Book Committee creates a short list of three books.

Monday, April 26th - Voting begins

Friday, April 30th - Voting ends - Fast Food nation wins

April issue of Ka Ohana - Story announcing Common Book Project (plus asking for nominations and warning of vote)

Tuesday, May 4th - HUM197 Approved by Faculty Senate - a one credit class called "Themes in the Humanities: The Common Book"

Tuesday, May 4th - Committee meeting to discuss possible topics, speakers, and sources of funding

Thursday, May 6th - Hawaii Council for the Humanities grant to Derek

May issue of Ka Ohana - Story announcing choice of Common Book

May 19th - Committee meeting to prioritize topics, speakers, etc.

 

Mid-August - see about running a story at UH (Ka Leo) on the Program, focusing on the course (for students living on the Windward side)
