Windward Community College's Commencement Ceremony is an annual event held at the end of the Spring semester to honor our graduates from the Spring as well as the previous Summer and Fall semesters.
Wednesday, May 6, 2015 is the last day to certify for Spring 2015 graduation.
Student Preparation for Spring 2015 Graduation
STAR Degree Check
Through MyUH, visit your STAR Degree Check/View Transcript/Academic Pathway to view your progress for completing the degree or certificate you are pursuing. Work with your counselor to verify eligibility to graduate.
If you will fulfill all graduation requirements by the end of the semester, make a graduation certification appointment by calling 235-7413 or visiting Hale Akoakoa 212. Completed graduation certification form is submitted to the Admissions and Records office.
A $15.00 fee is paid at the Business Office for each diploma requested (available in English and Hawaiian).
Commencement Ceremony Participation
If you plan to participate in the commencement ceremony, you will need to complete this process by Tuesday, April 14, 2015 in order to get your name included in the commencement program.
Order cap and gown
To place an order for your cap and gown, take your copy of the graduation certification form to the Bookstore in Hale Akoakoa by Friday, February 27, 2015. They are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., closed on holidays. The cost for a black cap and gown is $38.75.
ASUH-WCC is sponsoring a luncheon for graduates and their favorite faculty and staff members prior to rehearsal on Friday, May 15 from 12 noon to 1:45 p.m. in the Palanakila Courtyard. Invitations will be mailed out early April.
Commencement rehearsal will be held in Paliku Theatre on Friday, May 15 from 2:00 to 4:00pm, all graduated are strongly encouraged to attend.
The commencement ceremony honoring graduates from Summer 2014, Fall 2014 and Spring 2015 is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2014 at 1 p.m. in the Paliku Theatre. Tickets are required for guests and will be available for pick-up beginning May 5, 2014 in Hale Akoakoa Room 212.

Summa Cum Laude - "with highest academic honors"
students with a GPA of 3.9 to 4.0
Magna Cum Laude - "with great distinction"
students with a GPA of 3.5 to 3.8
Cum Laude - "with honor"
students with a GPA of 3.0 to 3.4
